With an aim that the radiological personnel doses during refueling shutdown and normal operation in the Nuclear Power Plant are as low as reasonable possible MECANOL manufactures and installs, according to the facility specifications, shielding made of lead wool to install on systems and components, valves and piping with the most influence in radiological doses and activity rates.
By means of this shielding decreases significantly the collective radiological dose of doing works inside drywell building, because main areas with high dose rate were shielded.
